Hazard Mitigation Planning Process:

Bandera County, Office of Emergency Management, is currently conducting a series of meetings to update the Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan aims to save lives and property by reducing hazard vulnerability for Bandera County and participating jurisdictions. During the course of this planning project, county and local leaders and the community will work in tandem to identify risks, assess capabilities, propose actions, and formulate a strategy to reduce disaster vulnerability. The Hazard Mitigation Plan is a FEMA requirement for grant eligibility to minimize losses in the event of any natural disaster that may occur.

If you would like to get in touch with the project team, please contact Judy Lefevers, Emergency Management Coordinator by email at emc@banderacounty.org.

Bandera County and all participating jurisdictions seek feedback as they review and update the Hazard Mitigation Plan.  Public input will help the Local Planning Teams to identify and analyze potential hazards affecting residents and recommend possible actions to reduce their impact throughout the Bandera County Planning area.  Please consider completing the brief online survey available at http://tiny.cc/banderahmp, to offer your feedback.
